Christopher Botkin

I've enjoyed writing ever since I discovered it at the age of thirteen, but until "Water Music" my only published works were newspaper articles, of which there are more than a hundred.

My American Dream life was interrupted by the illness and death of my wife. She was paralyzed by cancer in 1981 and passed away at thirty in 1986; the effect of that on me can't be overstated. Our three attractive, intelligent and successful children are now grown and married with children of their own.

I was born and still live in Saint Marys, Ohio. A civil engineer by training (BSCE 1977, Purdue University), I've served a variety of other positions as well, including newspaper editor, woodworker, marketer, webmaster and laborer.

Everything is fair game for a joke. A wink is anything you think. Emoticons and light beer are evil. Real men write their own code.
