Carlos Wallace

Carlos Wallace believes that the stories people believe about themselves often become the lives they eventually live. His work is dedicated to helping readers rewrite those stories.

A bestselling author, speaker, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and United States Navy veteran, Carlos has spent decades helping people see adversity through a different lens. His writing combines personal experience, leadership lessons, humor, and practical wisdom to challenge limiting beliefs and inspire lasting change. Whether writing about relationships, leadership, character, or everyday life, his message remains the same: life is often far less complicated than we make it.

His bestselling books, including Life Is Not Complicated, You Are, The Other 99 T.Y.M.E.S., and Why Sell Lies When the Truth Is Free, have sold more than 700,000 copies worldwide. His work has been adopted by colleges and universities across the United States and has appeared in educational curricula, including materials aligned with the Texas STAAR English II assessment.

Long before becoming an author, Carlos served in the United States Navy during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm before spending more than two decades with Union Pacific Railroad, where he became both a locomotive engineer and a nationally respected labor leader. Serving as Local Chairman, Vice General Chairman, and International Organizer, he built a reputation for leading through conflict, negotiating under pressure, and earning trust when it mattered most. Those experiences continue to shape every book he writes.

Today, Carlos serves as Chairman of the Development and Philanthropy Board for the Brailsford College of Arts and Sciences at Prairie View A&M University. He is also the Founder and CEO of Sol-Caritas LLC, a production company dedicated to creating books, films, live events, and educational experiences that entertain, inspire, and strengthen communities. He is also Co-Founder of VR Eval, where he helps advance innovative approaches to mental health and community engagement.

Whether speaking to audiences, producing films, mentoring future leaders, or writing his next book, Carlos remains committed to one purpose: helping people think differently, live intentionally, and leave the world better than they found it.

Carlos lives in Texas with his wife, award-winning journalist, comedian, and producer Liz Faublas-Wallace.
