Carlos Wallace

Carlos Wallace believes the greatest obstacles in life are often the ones we create ourselves.

A bestselling author, speaker, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and U.S. Navy veteran, Carlos has spent his life helping people rethink the stories they tell themselves. His books challenge readers to see adversity differently, transforming disappointment into perspective, setbacks into growth, and everyday experiences into life-changing lessons.

His bestselling works include Life Is Not Complicated, You Are, The Other 99 T.Y.M.E.S., and Why Sell Lies When the Truth Is Free. Collectively, his books have sold more than 700,000 copies worldwide and have been adopted by colleges and universities across the United States. His writing has also appeared in educational curricula, including the Texas STAAR English II assessment.

Beyond writing, Carlos serves as Chairman of the Development and Philanthropy Board for the Brailsford College of Arts and Sciences at Prairie View A&M University. He is the Founder and CEO of Sol-Caritas LLC, a company dedicated to producing films, live events, and conversations that inspire personal growth and strengthen communities. He is also Co-Founder of VR Eval, where he helps advance innovative mental health solutions through technology.

Before becoming an author, Carlos served in the United States Navy during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm before beginning a 23-year career as a Union Pacific locomotive engineer. Along the way, he emerged as one of the nation's respected labor leaders, serving as a Local Chairman, Vice General Chairman, International Organizer, and union strategist while representing railroad employees across the country. As a fifth-generation railroader, he became known for his ability to build consensus, negotiate difficult issues, and lead during times of uncertainty. Those lessons in leadership, resilience, and service now define both his writing and his work.

Whether speaking from a stage, producing films, mentoring young leaders, or writing his next book, Carlos remains committed to one mission: helping people discover that life is often far less complicated than they believe.

He lives in Texas with his wife, award-winning journalist and comedian Liz Faublas-Wallace, and continues to write, speak, and create projects that encourage people to think differently, lead intentionally, and leave a meaningful legacy.
