I am a faculty member at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. After taking my family to live in France for one year I had the opportunity to work with INSEAD scholars, Henrich Greve and Andrew Shipilov. From this collaboration our book "Network Advantage: How to unlock value from your alliances and partnerships" was born. My research interests include corporate governance, strategic alliances and stakeholder and social issues management. In addition to my own research I hold a Co-Editorship position with the journal Strategic Organizations.
I spend time working with corporations on their strategy, alliance network and governance challenges. My role is to help management teams clearly see the key competitive advantage opportunities through the confusing pressure of budgets, short-term investor demands and overwhelming schedules. It still amazes me the value alliances and alliance networks play in creating competitive advantages and how few managers are conscious of the benefits imbedded in these networks.
