Daniel B. LeGoff

Yes, I know my name starts with LEGO, and that is a complete coincidence.

I was born and educated in Canada, at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, and then Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. I've spent a lot of time with LEGO materials, both as a kid and as an adult, but that's not a big part of what I do for a living. I am a clinical neuropsychologist and I evaluate and help children and adults with neurological problems, including autism, brain injuries, and developmental disabilities.

I have authored two books about LEGO-based therapy, both published by Jessica Kingsley Publishing. The first is a how-to manual written for professionals who are interested in doing LEGO-based therapy groups to improve social development in children with autistic conditions. The second is a series of case studies and more detailed content about the rationale and methodology involved in LEGO-based therapy. I am currently finishing a third book, tentatively titled, "For Families, Lessons from LEGO-Based Therapy," which is for parents, relatives and other people who want to help those with autistic or other conditions which affect social development.
