Annabelle has a lifelong passion for understanding how humans learn and become whole. She has traveled the world, teaching in Gujarat, India and presenting in New Zeland, Cuba, UK, Japan and throughout the U.S. A yogi, Zen practitioner, cyclist, cross country skier, her quest is finding natural ways for humans to expand consciousness for emotional health, creativity and spiritual sensibilities. Her research examines natural psycho-dynamics from humanistic and Jungian psychology so that humans make their lives work for happiness and clarity, solving daily and existential dilemmas. Nelson holds a PhD and is a Professor at Fielding Graduate University and is the founder of the WHEEL Council, a non-profit with substance abuse and HIV prevention programs. She was also a Fulbright scholar to India. An author, storyteller, teacher, and program developer, she has published many research articles in journals like Heroism Science and Humanistic Psychology. Of her five books, the last one was Archetypal Imagery (2014) published by Jessica Kingsley. She has three children and lives in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
