Mathilde Pressley

Mathilde Pressley, the pen name for Mary Wheeler, was born in New Zealand, where she married and raised her own family. She was a mother of three and grandmother of six. As a girl, Mary was fortunate to travel on two occasions around the world by cruise ship, back in the day.

Later on in her adult life, she travelled extensively around the South Pacific and Europe. For her generation, Marie was one of the few who were very aware of the world outside of New Zealand. But she was always drawn back to New Zealand, the country she loved.

As a storyteller Marie never left out any details. Once she started you knew you would be there for some time. Marie shared many stories of her travels with her children and that surely gave her the love of writing. She loved romance and took great care building her written stories.

Love’s Dilemma is Mathilde Pressley’s first book in her Love’s Legacy series. Mary’s second book in her Love’s Legacy series, Anna’s Legacy, and is due to be released in autumn 2020. Her third book, Marriage by Bequest, will be released in spring 2021.

Love‘s Dilemma is a tale of the changing power of love. It is a love story set in New Zealand, where she has drawn on her love of her country‘s stunning landscape, the amazing history of this volcanic land and the influence of Maori legend on today‘s culture and people.
