Daniel K. Chaney

The author Daniel K. Chaney's primary interest is in the tension between the teachings of religion and the consensus among scientists, philosophers, and historians. He has lectured, appeared on podcasts, and participated in the development of the Atheos app used by Street Epistemologists.

Chaney was raised in a religious home. His interest in the nature of God was sparked at age fourteen while listening to his neighbor preach in the local church. His researches throughout his youth and during his time at Queens University ultimately led him to agnosticism. After decades spent studying religion, philosophy, and science, he decided to write a book that critically examines the most popular religious arguments in a casual tone, yet without glossing over the nuances of the reasoning.

When he's not writing, Chaney flies ultralight aircraft, kayaks, spends time in the woods, paints, plays the saxophone, and reads.
