Susan Apps-Bodilly

Susan Apps- Bodilly is a writer and educator. She is the author of One Room Schools, Stories from the Days of 1 Room, 1 Teacher, 8 Grades and co-author with Jerry Apps of Old Farm County Cookbook - both published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.

She has taught both elementary and middle school. She currently teaches second grade in a diverse, public school. She teaches all curriculum areas, including social-emotional skills, incorporating picture books. She encourages writers of all ages to share their own stories. When she is not teaching, reading, or writing, you might find Susan directing the school musical, trying a new recipe or in her kayak. She lives in Madison, WI with her husband and many backyard rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels and a favorite cardinal couple.
