Chris Shei

I was born and grew up in Taiwan. I had studied or worked with a number of fantastic universities in Taiwan, including National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Tsing Hua University,to name just a few. Altogether I obtained an MA in linguistics and a PhD in TESOL from Taiwan universities. The second phase of my academic life began in 1996, where I studied for an MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. I then moved on to the University of Edinburgh in 1997 to pursue a PhD in informatics (Topic: translation and language learning). My current job at Swansea University started in 2003. I enjoy my life in Wales and have lived here for eleven years.
