Michael Essington

Michael Essington’s bestselling memoir Last One To Die was first published in 2011 and has been stuck in film development hell for most of the decade. Essington’s work includes several collections of short stories and three additional memoirs: Life Won’t Wait, Born Frustrated, and Heaven Nor Hell. As a longtime columnist, his work has been published in Flipside 2010, Deep Red Magazine, Spark Plug Magazine, The Los Angeles Beat, Fear & Loathing In LB, Dying Scene, Strange Reaction, and Usual Suspect.

As an original member of the early Los Angeles punk rock scene, Essington was a member of several bands and later a popular flyer illustrator.

Essington has written since his high school days. He lives with his wife, Elizabeth, son Lucas.
