John Schoneboom

John Schoneboom is a New Yorker who now lives in Newcastle upon Tyne. He's got a PhD in creative writing, a masters in international affairs, has played the funky bass guitar, sold ice cream from a van, sneaked into numerous venues, and foiled a purse snatching. He's an award-winning writer whose books include the novels The Day Aunt Gina Came To Town (Roundfire Books) and Fontoon (Dedalus Books), the nonfiction works Stop Me If I Say Something Crazy: Disinformation and Dissent in the Post-Truth World (TrineDay Press) and Surrealpolitik: Surreality and the National Security State (Zer0 Books). He is also the founding editor of Bratum Books and its Uncommonalities series of short story collections.
