I always wonder what people think when they see an author's photo. Perhaps they imagine the kind of books a person that looks like that would write? "Ugh, I wouldn't buy that book, he's got a beard!", or "I couldn't read anything by someone who's eyes are that close together." Or maybe it's just me who thinks like that.

My new book is now available on Kindle. It's an amazing adventure starring hospital worker Jamie. When he befriends one of his patients, the eighty seven year old Eliza, little does he know he'll end up being catapulted to the 'Wraparound', a repeating nineteen year stretch of the twenty second century.

I've always loved time travel stories, gazed in wonder with Jules Verne, sobbed my eyes out with Christopher Reeve, and been thrilled by 'Back to the Future' since 1985. It's been great fun to envisage what the year 2144 might be like. It's not just about what will have changed, but what will oddly have stayed the same.

Of course, this book is about much more than a strange location. I hope I've succeeded in making it deliciously complicated yet easy to understand. It's funny and heartwarming, as Jamie tries to cope with the awkward situations he finds himself in. There's love too, but can you imagine bringing a girl from the future home to meet your Mum?

I've had lots of incredibly positive feedback about it so far, and I hope it captures your imagination too. I'm always grateful to anyone who takes the time to review my books and always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Finally, if you're wondering about my next book, it is currently underway, and should be ready for launch before the end of 2016 (hopefully)
