Jon Younger

Jon Younger is a founding partner of the Agile Talent Collaborative and partner emeritus of the RBL Group. His career has been a mix of entrepreneurship, consulting, authorship and executive education.

As an entrepreneur he co-founded two start-ups - Provant and NetValue USA - that became listed (publicly traded) companies. He has also served on a number of business boards of directors and advisory boards, and as a member of an advisory board on HR Transformation for the Government of Singapore.

As a consultant, he has advised leaders in the financial, energy, pharma, consumer products and NGO or government sectors. He also served from 2001-2006 as senior vice president and chief learning and talent officer for National City Corp, a leading US bank holding company, and earlier was a consultant and manager of organization development for Exxon Mobil.

As an writer, he has co-authored five books including the new book AGILE TALENT (Harvard, 2016) as well as the trade best sellers HR FROM THE OUTSIDE IN (McGraw Hill, 2012) and HR Transformation (McGraw Hill, 2009).

As an educator, he teaches talent strategy and strategic change leadership in the executive education faculty of the University of Michigan and the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. He has also taught occasionally in the Copenhagen School of Business in Denmark. He has also taught in many corporate and public sector universities in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Jon’s PhD is from the University of Toronto, where he was an Ontario Graduate Fellow and Canada Council Grantee in Social Psychology.

Jon and his wife Carolyn divide their time between NYC and rural Connecticut. Their sons are out in the world with families of their own.
