Tobin Spratte

Tobin Spratte writes about twenty-first-century life in the American West. His stories weave together his experiences in the cities and wildernesses he knows best to tell readers the truth about what it means to be human. His influences range from Aristophanes to Zamyatin—up to and including heavy metal lyrics, revisionist Western films, and the nutrition facts on a box of cereal.

He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado. Spratte works by day as a proposal manager. By night, he pens novels, nonfiction, and manages and writes his blog, Anarchy+Autoimmunity. He has also been a magazine editor, academic researcher, and opinion columnist. His columns and scholarship have been published nationally, and he was the third place winner in the Felix Morley Journalism Competition.
