Barbara Symons

Barbara Symons is an ordained minister and tireless spiritual seeker whose experience within Christian fundamentalism spanned forty-three years. After leaving the church system in 1999, Barbara recognized the innate programming within the organization that is used to incite fear regarding separation and eternal damnation for non-compliance.

Barbara has keen insight into organized religion and writes of her journey to regain her critical thinking once outside of the church system. She is an adept speaker and teacher that hopes to bring light into the mysteries and metaphorical content that may be found within the historical stories of the Bible and beyond.

Barbara resides in Texas with her husband Lyle. Together they have three sons, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
