Marlene Chabot was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but has lived in several locations over the years, including Sylvania, Ohio; Salisbury, Maryland; Des Moines, Iowa; and Brainerd, Minnesota. She spends a few months each winter in Naples, FL. A member of Sisters in Crime, she has received a B.S. degree in education, an A.A.S. business marketing degree and a certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature.
The author has recently completed her seventh book. Six short stories have appeared in Minnesota and Florida anthologies. She did freelance work for various publications in Central MN and from 2007 to 2017 was a major contributor to HER VOICE a quarterly magazine for women.
Marlene's writing style draws upon her many positions she's had over the years, including a store security guard, bank employee, teacher, human resource assistant, receptionist, and part owner of an optical store. She loves traveling. meeting people from all walks of life, and trying new things such as; parasailing, belly dancing, ziplining, and kayaking.
Fiction has always been her favorite form of writing and most stories revolve around a mystery.
