Brette O'Connell lives at the base of the beautiful Sierra Nevadas.

Ms. O'Connell's short stories and poetry have been published in “Chamber Cameos,” and “Mask: Tales from the Underground 2.”

“Changing Terms” is a sweet May-December romance with a twist.

“The Measure of a Man", a crime/forensics/romance, was well-received by readers.

“Evidence of the Vampire” is a crime/forensics/paranormal thriller that will keep the reader’s interest until the very last page. It won BRONZE in the National Literary Habitat Book Awards.

“Evidence of the Vampire: Roman Spring” is the second volume in the “Evidence of the Vampire” trilogy.

Her children's book “Wishes and Wings” has received five-star reviews.

Ms. O'Connell holds a degree in Administration of Justice/Forensic Science Technology and is a member of the American Criminal Justice Association. She is certified in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and Criminal Profiling. One of her crime scene diagrams was published in "Crime Scene Investigation: The Forensic Technician's Field Manual."

In her free time, she enjoys watching Harry Potter fan-based videos such as “Bloom Everlaine–A Musical Novel” on YouTube; keeping up with followers on social media; going to the theatre; attending lectures, and streaming the latest movies. Her favorite movie/TV genres are British crime and period dramas, mysteries, and documentaries.

Ms. O'Connell is a Dexter Morgan fan and Severus Snape/Alan Rickman devotee.
