N. Asokan

Asokan is a professor of computer science at the University of Waterloo where he is a University Professor. He is also a Wallenberg Visiting Chair Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Previously he held a David R. Cheriton Chair in Software Systems and had been a professor at Aalto University, Finland. He received his doctorate in computer science from the University of Waterloo. He is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Royal Society of Canada. In addition to his computer science research, he has also published translations from and to Tamil under the pen name eḻuttukkiṉiyavaṉ.
