Alabama Jane Brown was born and raised in Tuscaloosa and Northport, Alabama. She received her BA from Judson College for Women, and studied fiction writing with Barry Hannah at The University of Alabama while pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. Ms. Brown's latest novel THE SOUTHERN CROSS has been nominated by her publisher, EDITIO PRESS, for the Pulitzer in Fiction 2014. Ms. Brown divides her time between an historic farm in Tennessee and a historic log cabin in Alabama with a menagerie of ghosts, cats and grandchildren.
Ms. Brown has published on web del sol under "New Voices", her first novel, "Sinner from the South" received literary acclaim, and she is at work on three novels.
