Scott Rowan

A pioneer in educational sports, Scott A. Rowan is the publisher of the magazine Richmond Sport Scene and is a former newspaper editor/reporter who eats too much pizza and lives in Virginia. His love of sports came from the end of the bench, where he usually sat waiting to get in the game. A Maryland native raised in Richmond, Virginia, His passion for education came after working as an ESL instructor to teach and prepare adult immigrants enough English to enter the workforce. Through sports, Scott reveals real moments in global history there were altered by various teams, games, and individuals. "Weaponized Baseball" and "The Cubs Quotient" are Scott's first two educational sports titles with more in progress now on other sports and other baseball teams. Scott is also the creator of The Super Fins, a digital news magazine and book series that teaches people about key aquatic issues by exploring the amazing "superpowers" that aquatic animals possess. In 2019, Scott released his first collection of poetry: "An Invitation to Misanthropes." He is currently putting the final touches on his first collection of short stories - "Exit Agency and Other Stories" while still cranking out a monthly sports magazine.
