Key Pousttchi

Prof. Dr. Key Pousttchi befaßt sich seit 25 Jahren mit Digitalisierung in Wissenschaft und Praxis, mit IT mehr als 30. Von 1989 bis 2001 war er Offizier der Panzertruppe, zuletzt in der IT-Beratung und als Forscher an der Fakultät für Informatik der Universität der Bundeswehr München.

Danach wechselte er hauptamtlich in die Wissenschaft, wo er von 2001 bis 2014 Leiter der Forschungsgruppe wi-mobile an der Universität Augsburg und ab 2015 an der Universität Potsdam erster Lehrstuhlinhaber (Ordinarius) für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Digitalisierung an einer deutschen Universität war (SAP-Stiftungslehrstuhl).

Im Jahr 2020 erscheinen von ihm ein Aufsatz zur Digitalpolitik sowie die Bücher: "Gestärkt aus der Corona-Rezession - warum der Mittelstand die Digitale Transformation braucht" (Fachbuch) und "Entwicklungsland Deutschland - warum man uns über die Digitalisierung nicht die Wahrheit sagt" (Sachbuch). Er lebt und arbeitet in Potsdam.

Professor Key Pousttchi is working in digitalization in research and practice for 25 years and in IT more than 30. From 1989 to 2001 he served as a panzer officer in the German army, his last positions were in IT consulting and as a researcher at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich.

After his military career he changed to academia. From 2001 to 2014 he was leading a research group on mobile business at the University of Augsburg (assistant professor 2004, associate professor 2009). From 2015 on, he held the SAP Endowed Chair of Business Informatics and Digitalization at the University of Potsdam.

In 2020, an article on digital policy and two books will appear: "Getting stronger out of the Corona recession - why SME should embrace digital transformation" and "Germany as a developing country - why they are not telling us the truth about digitalization". He lives and works in the historical Potsdam, residence city of the Prussian kings next to Berlin.
