Frank Bramwell

Frank runs his own theatre company, AlternativeTheatre, and is the lead contributor to the work of The AlternativeShakespeare Collaboration.

Shakespeare is his great passion - what his works teach us, how they can help us in our lives, and why they are so supremely important:

“I decided many years ago that, for me, the only way to really 'get' Shakespeare was to find out how his plays and poems work; this deep interest resulted in writing my first play 'Time After Time'.

Writing plays and books that stay faithful to words, themes, stories, and characters of Shakespeare's work, but giving them entirely new settings, has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and one I believe that has given Shakespeare’s work new life and vitality.”
