Paul Eckheart

Paul Eckheart first thought about a career in writing after placing as a finalist in the Utah Young Playwrights contest. Until then he had considered a life on the stage, but after attending the Sundance Playwrights Laboratory and meeting the playwrights there, he knew writing was what he wanted to do.

Over the years Paul's interests have changed a bit--he's now more focused on fantasy and science fiction--but he continues to write whatever happens to catch his fancy, be it speculative fiction, mysteries, crime fiction, or stage plays.

In 2013 Paul was a winner of the Writers of the Future contest with his short story, Shifter, which will be published in volume 30 of the yearly anthology.
