David Freedman

David Freedman is an artist Blacksmith, sculptor and writer. This combination results in daydreaming fiction when he is supposed to be sculpting and doodling designs when he ought to be writing. The wilds of his ramshackle retreat in rural Cheshire, England have given David a love of the natural world which inspires much of his artwork and some of his writing.

David has worked with artist and illustrator Mike Kelly to produce 'Stunt Crow' as well as the forthcoming 'Jewel of the Brook', children's classics that should appeal to all ages.

Seeking to catalogue his own sculptural work of 20 years and explore and explain the ancient world of blacksmithing and its renaissance as an artistic craft, David wrote 'Artist Blacksmith Sculpture: The Art of Natural Metalwork' and will shortly publish a follow up volume looking at design in metalwork.

David is currently writing a collection of short stories exploring creation in reverse, Bach and the chloroform addict, religious poultry and method acting dogs, and unsettlingly familiar dystopian futures.
