Page McBrier

Page McBrier is the author of 46 books for young readers, including the award-winning New York Times bestseller, Beatrice's Goat. She grew up in Indianapolis and later, St. Louis, where she received her B.A. degree in theater and education. Her career as a children's book author began serendipitously when she was asked to develop a "book series for boys" which became the Oliver and Company series for Troll Publishing. Other early projects included books for Disney films Aladdin, Pocahontas, and The Lion King, and a number of other popular series for middle-grade readers. Recent projects include four picture books for Heifer International that focus on themes of sustainability and community development.

In addition to her busy writing career, Page works as a teaching artist for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. Her arts-infused residencies playfully blend theater, movement, drawing and writing into the school curriculum. To find out more about Page go to www.pagemcbrier.com.
