Bob Farrell

I'm a musician-songwriter turned author - a Nashville music career that has spanned 40 years; 25 years of that as christian music duo Farrell & Farrell with my wife Jayne, recording 10 albums and touring all over the world, including in 1988 - a year before the Wall came down - performing 30 shows in Moscow and Leningrad by invitation of the Kremlin Peace Committee.

I have penned songs for Eric Clapton, Wynonna, Amy Grant, and many other artists, as well as several concept works, including !HERO The Rock Opera, Le Voyage for Sandi Patty, and two projects with the London Symphony, one of which is Saviour, which is being performed at Carnegie Hall Oct. 2014.

I've had multiple GMA Dove Award and Grammy Nominations, garnering seven Doves, an NSAI Song of the Year, and I have songs on many gold and multi-platinum albums.

My love of books, history, and my experience writing stageplays, oratorios, screenplays, and story in general has at last led to writing books. And just as my songwriting has been very eclectic, so is my book-writing: non-fiction, historical fiction, allegory, autobiographical. My first book release is about our experience in the catastrophic Nashville Flood of 2010: how God brought us through the chaos, orchestrated our restoration by the love, donations, and hard work of countless volunteers, including our friend Amy Grant - and taught us that faith and trust in Him are any person's greatest allies in life - 'when the rains fall'.

Jayne and I have two daughters, four grandsons, and just celebrated 45 years of marriage.
