M. S. Rixon

Mark Rixon was born in Bridgend South Wales. He obtained a biology degree from Plymouth University and found himself teaching biology in a Comprehensive school near his home town. In 1990 he moved with his wife to the Duke of York's Royal Military School in Dover where he is now the Head of biology. His passions include photography, writing, The Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme and bridge. (Not necessarily in that order) He is a member of the Apostolic church in Dover where he is a deacon. Mark has published several books including Thoughts of a traveller, Wonderfully made, New directions and Coronavirus A fictional story about a possible future. He is a currently working on several other projects including a detective fantasy novel in the style of The Lord of the Rings called Under an elven sky.

He also runs a biology revision site called the Purple Biologist and is planning a study skills site called Power Studies. He lives with his wife and has one daughter who lives locally with her pet dog.
