I am a Welshman born in a mining town called Blaenavon. The era I grew up in was the time of holes in your shoes, darned socks, patched up trousers and worn out collars on your shirts. Despite all that they were happy days and I wouldn't change them even if I could. I was inspired to write my first and only story by my daughter Julie. She was very concerned about children and their future. So one day I thought if I could turn her concerns into a fairy tale, maybe it would inspire some children and their parents. I am retired now and living in Ireland with my wife Lorraine but we travel back to Wales four or five times a year. I have four children, grandchildren, six sisters and a brother, and I love them all. I have finished and published my second book and am waiting to see if someone, in fact anyone, likes them before I write the next one. I have only ever read one book in my life, and that was about Loki the Wolf. So I can say thank you to Julie for inspiring me to write, but I still haven't read another book. If you want to read a book with no sex, violence or bad language, my two books are for you and your children.
