Jerry Combee

After completing a BA and MA in Political Science at Emory University (Atlanta), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Jerry H. Combee earned a PhD in Government from Cornell University (NY). At Cornell he studied under the late Allan Bloom, famed author of international bestseller The Closing of the American Mind, and Werner Dannhauser, renowned expert on the philosopher F. Nietzsche. Combee has taught political philosophy at a number of colleges and universities, served three institutions as academic vice president, and held the position of president at Grove City College (Pennsylvania) and the University of Jamestown (North Dakota). His many publications include textbooks for Christian Schools (The History of the World in Christian Perspective: Vol. I, Since the Beginning [author]; The Modern Age: The History of the World in Christian Perspective, Vol. II [co-author]; and Science: Order and Reality [contributor and co-editor]), Economic Justice in Perspective (Prentice Hall, co-editor), Democracy at Risk (Center for Judicial Studies, author), Designed for Destiny (Tyndale, co-author), "Religious Roots of the Rights of Man in America (chapter in Religion and Politics, University of Virginia Press, author), and articles in National Review (author), Interpretation (author), The Modern Age (co-author), The Evangelical Beacon (co-author), and others. A totally revised new edition of an earlier book, Forward to Freedom, has recently been published as a Kindle e-book, and other e-books are in progress. Combee lives in metropolitan Atlanta with his wife, Daneille.
