Laila Wadia

Lily- Amber Laila Wadia was born in India, but now lives in Trieste, Italy. Passionate about food, migration, identity and women’s issues, she writes mainly in Italian: short stories, novels, poetry, screenplays for theatre and film and has won several awards for her work. She teaches English at the University of Trieste, Italy, and is also a journalist, translator and interpreter.

Narrastorie, traduttrice-interprete, esperto linguistico all’Università di Trieste, Lily-Amber Laila Wadia, è nata in India, ma vive a Trieste. Sensibile ai temi dell’identità, della migrazione e delle donne, scrive racconti, romanzi, poesie, articoli giornalistici, sceneggiature per film e teatro. Ha vinto numerosi premi per il suo lavoro.
