In 2008 I accomplished a life-long dream when I completed my first novel, The Revelation Voyage. Since that time, I have completed multiple works of fiction and two works of nonfiction.

My current writing efforts revolve around my murder mystery series, The Mack Files. There are four books in this series so far, with a fifth book in the works. This series follows a retired detective that has been called back into service by the FBI to deal with difficult cases. But Joshua (Mack) MacIntyre has a unique way of solving crimes. He gets help by hearing the voice of his dead partner. Unfortunately, It sometimes causes trouble for Mack. And his feelings for his current partner often get in the way.

The Mack Files Book 1 Bender, is based on the last case of Mack's police career, one he had never been able to solve. It also introduces the main characters. The Mack Files Book 2 Skinner, has been described by readers as intense, scary, and ultimately, a very difficult subject matter while also being a great read. The third book in the series is actually very dear to my heart. It is called The Mack Files Book 3 Nightingale. It takes place almost entirely in a hospital setting, and is a tribute to many wonderful people that work to save lives every day, as well as an homage to my days working in the medical field. The fourth book available is The Mack Files Book 4 Schoolboy. This book is about a victim who has been bullied most of his life getting revenge.

The next book is going to deal with vigilantism. I have great plans for this book. It is loosely based on a situation I am keenly aware of in which a police force has members who are corrupt and allow an officer who breaks the law to continue to work as a police officer. While this story will not make it into the book, it certainly is an inspiration for writing it.

I'm excited to see where this new work takes me. Additionally, I have a new science fiction book in the works. Can you say Vampires?
