Donna Wylie

Donna Wylie’s first love has always been poetry, which she began writing at an early age. Her poetry has been published in school and town magazines, and in Writer’s Digest. Recently, one of her poems was selected for inclusion in “Warrior Soul, A Journal to Inspire Your Fiercely Alive Whole Self”. Her books are available on Amazon.com and CreateSpace.com

She has written everything from company newsletters and training manuals to web copy and advertising materials. Her first book on Amazon was a job-hunting guide, based on her experience as an employment counselor. In November 2010, she participated in the NaNoWriMo challenge, “just to see” if she could complete an entire novel in a month. The result of that experiment was a murder mystery novel called “Wish You Were Dead”, a humorous look at the ordinary fantasies of a working-class drone, and what happens when those dreams become reality.

Together with her husband Rick, Ms. Wylie has written the first two books in the popular series “The 7 Stages of Teeth: Dentures Demystified”. The first book in the series is a diary of her experience, "Denture Adventure: The year I got teeth for my birthday”, chronicling her experience with humor and brutal honesty. The second book is a recipe collection, entitled "Chopper Optional: Recipes for the recently toothless", an invaluable resource for anyone who is tired of the usual advice to “eat soft food.”

Ms. Wylie and her husband have also published the first two books in the series “Our Extraordinary World”, that invites readers of all ages to explore the wonders all around us. Through a series of guided “Adventure Journals”, utilizing both field work and research, the reader is encouraged to learn more about our world and all its inhabitants.

Ms. Wylie has a blog, “The Search for Intelligent Life”, where she posts humorous observations and essays on life. She also maintains several Facebook pages, including an author page where she posts impromptu poetry

Her primary passion continues to be poetry and she is currently working on a poetry series. She also continues to work with her husband, adding to their series of books as well as working on a selection of poetry-art projects.
