David Lau

David Lau is an awarding-winning poet, essayist, and editor. His first book of poems Virgil and the Mountain Cat appeared in 2009 from UC Press in the New California Poetry Series. A new book is forthcoming from Commune Editions/AK Press in 2016. He has published poetry and essays widely including in The Best American Experimental Writing 2015, New Left Review, Boston Review, The American Reader, and A Public Space. With Cal Bedient, he co-edits Lana Turner: a Journal of Poetry and Opinion. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and UCLA, he teaches writing at UC Santa Cruz and Cabrillo College.
