EVERYBODY DIES . . . NOBODY WANTS TO
Many people feel uncomfortable about not knowing what happens when they die. Some fear disappearing into a dark void of nothingness. Others fear they’ll have to explain their behavior and beliefs to prove their worthiness before they can walk through the pearly gates.
A GIFT FROM DR. SEUSS
When I was the publisher/CEO of Spirit Speaks magazine, I received an unsolicited manuscript that expanded my understanding about what happens when we die. "Earth’s Grand Hotel," by Theodor Giesel (pen name Dr. Seuss) had been written for grown-up children (like me) who'd known and loved Dr. Seuss stories since we were beginning readers.
BECOME THE YOU-IEST YOU THAT YOU CAN DO
In HOTEL Theo explains that death is nothing more than the next step in your ongoing odyssey through life. Theo knows that when you understand what heaven is really about, you’ll give up anxiety about going there. You’ll realize it's a way-station for all of us as we shift from one reality (physical) to another (non-physical). Knowing this will help you face every day and every experience (even the challenges) that comes your way as you become the “you-iest you that you can do!”
Aware that many many people on Earth felt anxious about what happens to them when they die, Theo decided to help them relax about this natural journey from one stage of life to another.
And so, Theo came up with a unique plan to help evolve spiritual awareness of people on Earth. He would be born into physical life and become a prolific author of books and develop a massive world-wide audience of 600 Million readers. Then, after his physical death, he would write EARTH’S GRAND HOTEL to describe his journey from physical life on Earth to non-physical life in Heaven.
THEO'S HELPERS
Three soul buddies (Norma, Molli, and Gary) volunteered to help Theo fulfill his plan. Norma would become a spiritual healer/channel, Molli a publisher of spiritual psychology, and Gary an Academy Award winning designer/artist. Like Theo, they were dedicated to help people on Earth evolve their spiritual awareness and release fears about death.
(You may think it’s stupid to create a plan for your life, only to forget it after you’re born. Actually, it’s quite brilliant. Here’s why. If you knew the end of your personal story, you might cruise the oceans of life on the Good Ship Lollipop, playing beer pong instead of discovering your soul’s purpose, tapping into your higher self, and pursing your life choices with passion and zest.)
THE MEMORY JOGGER
When Theo’s manuscript was delivered to my SPIRIT SPEAKS publishing office, I more or less remembered about a cosmic civic duty I’d agreed to long ago. The full extent of this was not immediately recognized because, at that time, my publishing expertise was rooted in the magazine world. I pondered whether Gary (my art director) and I could successfully transition to the digital world.
And so, we created a practice book, GREEN, which became the 2nd Theo book (also available at Amazon).
BTW: A surprise bonus awaits you on page 51 of EARTH’S GRAND HOTEL . . . a page of bookmarks to cut out, color, and enjoy.
