Sandy Carlson

Sandy writes young YA under S. L. Carlson with Books We Love Publishing.

Born in the watery woodlands of Michigan, Sandy's love of the outdoors is reflected in her writing, both the fantasy and historical fiction. Even her memoirs is centered around animal encounters.

Teacher-turned-author, Sandy has lived in many states with each giving her the appreciation of various cultures and subcultures, from big-city urban and suburban to farm and ranch rural, from cowboys and Indians to bikers (motorcyclists). She hikes, gardens, collects rocks, and prefers going barefoot. She is married, with two grown sons and three grandchildren.
