Larry Blamire

LARRY BLAMIRE is an actor, writer, director, and artist, known for such feature films as THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA, TRAIL OF THE SCREAMING FOREHEAD, THE LOST SKELETON RETURNS AGAIN and DARK AND STORMY NIGHT. He also wrote the new graphic novel LARRY BLAMIRE’S STEAM WARS and THE AUDIO ADVENTUREBOOK OF BIG DAN FRATER VOLUME ONE, insane radio adventures which won the Gold Prize in the Mark Time Awards. Books include a collection of his western horror short stories TALES OF THE CALLAMO MOUNTAINS and his nonsense book LARRY BLAMIRE’S BLAMMARY OF TERMS. Stage plays include the much performed ROBIN HOOD (recently at Williamstown Theatre Festival), MY NAME IS LESLIE, and DOST PITY ME WITHPETT? (all published by Samuel French), as well as the critically acclaimed JUMP CAMP and IN THE NATIONS. His Irish play WHYO received a grant from the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, leading to Israel Horovitz commissioning an autobiographical work THE CHROMA LINE. On stage, Larry won the Boston Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Actor in IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM. He recently completed a western screenplay for actor Jim Beaver, is currently turning LOST SKELETON into a stage musical and his first novel, DOC ARMSTRONG: SUBURB AT THE EDGE OF NEVER, is now available, featuring the Lost Skeleton characters.
