Lori is a freelance writer who helps other freelancers use marketing to get the clients they deserve in good times and in bad.

When Lori started out, she didn’t know anything about marketing. She made a lot of mistakes back then, like marketing to the wrong clients. The truth is, Lori didn’t know which clients would hire her or what she could do for them. So she wasted a lot of time marketing to clients who would never hire her, because she didn’t have the skills or experience they were looking for.

But because Lori did a lot of marketing in the first year or so, she was able to become a six-figure freelancer in 18 months. And she was working with steady, high-paying clients who treated her right. Lori has been a six-figure freelancer since 1998—including during two recessions.

As she met other freelancers, Lori noticed that many freelancers didn’t know much about marketing and weren’t comfortable doing it. So she began teaching them how to get the clients they deserve, through presentations, webinars, her Freelance Success blog, books, and online courses.

Now she’s on a quest to help as many freelancers as possible become Mighty Marketers and build stable, successful freelance businesses. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Lori studied journalism at Temple University. She lives in South Jersey.
