Victor Merkel, along with Ann Frommer, are the authors of an award-winning series “TailGunner: War Defines Us” and “TailGunnerR3”. Also, Adrian Lyne’s agent has been contacted regarding young adult novel, “Misery Mountain”, set in 1945-1960, Tamaqua, PA’s coal mining region. Adrian Lyne has directed award winning films such as Fatal Attraction and Flashdance. Author Victor Merkel lived a number of the events depicted in the book such as growing up in a dysfunctional household, dangerous bootleg coal mining and loving a beautiful girl named Rose, from Market Street.
