Kevin Egan

Kevin Egan is the author of eight novels and more than 40 short stories. His three legal thrillers, each set in the New York County Courthouse, were inspired by his 30 years as a staff attorney in that iconic building. In Midnight, a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2013, "Egan shows his heroes' plan spinning out of control in a classic illustration of the law of unintended consequences." Booklist called The Missing Piece "a masterful story of murder, corruption, and sexual obsession." Publishers Weekly called the third installment of the series, A Shattered Circle, "Egan's best to date."

Egan's short stories regularly appear in leading mystery publications such as Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, Mystery Tribune, Mystery Magazine, and Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine. His five other novels include a science fiction/mystery mash-up, The Perseus Breed; a three-part golf mystery series written under the pen name Conor Daly; and a stand-alone golf mystery under a K.J. Egan byline.

Egan has taught fiction writing classes in the Community Education Program at Westchester Community College and legal writing courses in the Legal Studies Program at Berkeley College in Manhattan.
