Julia Gaffield

Julia Gaffield is an Associate Professor of History at William & Mary. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University, an M.A. from York University, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the early independence period in Haiti and seeks to understand the diverse relationships that state leaders in Haiti held with the international community.
