John Lake

As a teenager, John Lake got some horror stories into the Yorkshire Evening Post, then published poetry and journalism from the Eighties to the Noughties in mags such as First Time, Leeds Other Paper and Sabotage Times. He's authored several novels, including Hot Knife, Blowback, Speed Bomb, Amy and the Fox, Before the Gulf, and the SF thriller Proxima West. His story ‘Hidden Among Leaves’ was long-listed for the Fish-Knife Crime Short Story Award and Amy and the Fox for the Guardian Not the Booker Prize. He's currently a CEO and editor for Armley Press.
