Dan Ehl

Dan Ehl is a retired Iowa newspaper editor and columnist now living in Mesa, AZ. The winner of numerous journalism and photo awards, including first in humor from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, he enjoys breaking out of dryer newspaper writing to pen fantasy novels.

At 8 years old he read “The Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom Planet” and ever since has been hooked on fantasy and science fiction.

He served in Germany as an Army photographer during the Vietnam War.

"With a lot of Vietnamese lining pits with sharpened stakes for people just like me, I knew I wasn't wanted. I didn't want to be rude and show up anyway. Being from Iowa, we always try to be polite.

Stationed in Germany during the early seventies was interesting enough with the barracks on weekends smelling of beer, vomit and hashish."

His favorite hobbies are hitchhiking and hopping freights.

He has eight fantasy books published with Rogue Phoenix Press – Nicotine Dreams, Myrlyn's Gate, and six Jak Barley, Private Inquisitor.
