Daniel Tigner (Hafiz) is an author, researcher, and former educator who has spent more than fifty years exploring listening, awareness, and presence through meditation, consciousness work, and vibrational healing.
His body of work reflects a lifelong dedication to capturing the natural world, personal memory, and ancestral wisdom. In the realm of botanical and tree attunement, he is the author of Canadian Forest Tree Essences – Vibrational Healing Through the Natural Resonance of Trees, and co-author of Trees, Healing, and You: Guided Imagery, Poems, Stories, and Other Empowering Tools and Trees Speak: Vibrational Tree Essences Guidebook (with Celine Cloutier).
Beyond his natural research, his published writings span personal histories, legacy art collections, and storytelling. He is the co-author of The Time of Your Life – Everyone Has a Story (with Gayle Leona Jabour) and Sam and the Sea Monsters: A Water Polo Story (with Julie Sutton). He also served as the editor for the biographical volume American Mystic: Memoirs of a Happy Man by Arunachala Ramana, and co-authored the fine art retrospective The Art of Grant Tigner.
His latest solo work, The Art of Deep Listening: Cultivating Awareness, Presence, and Connection through Listening and Rattling Practices, beautifully bridges these diverse roots into a cohesive guide for modern spiritual practitioners. He lives in Quebec, Canada, with his wife, Maryse, and their daughter, Sepporah, drawing continuous inspiration from the northern forests for his writing, research, and teaching.
