My main desire, even when I was a youngster, was to be an author and poet. I have reached that goal numerous times, and I plan to keep writing until the day I die. I love to write, I love to see the words appear on the page, I love to tell stories; there is nothing quite like it. I especially enjoy writing poetry and recently released Vol 2 of The $45,000 Cat (my second book of poetry).
I was the second child of 12 children and grew up in a turbulent home that was always filled with noise and excitement. Having that many brothers and sisters meant that there was always something new to experience. I have continued that tradition with four sons of my own, and a loving wife who raised them. Even though my spouse passed on way too young (52), her positive influence and impact on my life shows through in the books that I write. I often use her characteristics in my books and stories.
In 2021 I moved to Florida, but I have lived all around this wonderful world. My move was influenced for my love of being outdoor in the sun, and the sense of freedom that Florida promotes. I love to travel, meet new people, and fervently embrace new experiences. I'm always up to trying something new and learning from my failures and my successes.
In January 2022, I published my longest novel to date; "Ima Aphrodite Thorne" - it's available at www.sokkerkidz.com. I'm currently rewriting all my Daxton and Miranda books, and I'm working on an Aphrodite sequel, titled "Ima Aphrodite Thorne Too". I'm also writing my third book of poetry. I have become a blogger as well, with regular updates on my blog page at www.sokkerkidz.com.
