Mark H. Evans

I am not a theologian nor a scholar. I don't hold any degrees but I do hold a couple of certifications. I have worked in retail sales, construction, moving and storage, broadcasting, law enforcement telecommunications, and information technology. I am currently a Database Developer/Data Engineer at a national Non-Profit. I have also been bi-vocational over most of my life, working on several pastoral teams and at various para-church organizations.

I joined a church when I was 12 and have been pursuing becoming a "Christian" ever since. The problem has been that in the 48 years I've been in the church I haven't found a consistent definition of what being a "Christian" is. So, I have been discovering what being a "Christian" is not. It is not being religious, judgmental, or perfect. The journey of discovery continues with my second book, Truly Human:Bearing the Image of God.

I am married and we have two grown children. We live in a small community outside of Tucson, Arizona. I enjoy guitar, horses, reading, and cultural development. I am a Type 5 on the Enneagram and an INTJ on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
