Jim C. Otar

Jim C. Otar is a retired financial advisor and a retired engineer. He has written several books and over one hundred articles since 1995. He introduced and quantified the concept of "luck factor" which won him the CFP Board Article awards in 2001 and 2002. This was later popularized in the financial business as the "sequence of returns". Jim retired in 2018. He spends his winters in outskirts of Toronto and his summers in the Niagara region.
