Cabot Barden, a native of Sylacauga, AL is a musician/singer/songwriter and the author of nine novels, It’s The Bass Player, Toby’s Mixed Blessings, and Dynamite Runs In The Family, Shamrocks And Skallywags, and Shillelaghs And Scoundrels, I Will War No More, Selocta's Story, The Ghost Walker, The Legend of Chief Jim, Muscogee Red Dawn, and The Train From Tombstone series, book one, Saddle Up. It’s The Bass Player was endorsed by best selling author Clive Cussler and was the runner up for the 2011 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Literary Fiction with Toby’s Mixed Blessings taking the coveted award home in 2012. Dynamite Runs In the Family has won the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for 2014, has received 5-star reviews from Amazon.com and a thumbs up review from the New York Times. Shamrocks and Skallywags won the Pinnacle award in 2015 for historical fiction. Shillelaghs and Scoundrels was also endorsed by famous author Clive Cussler. I Will War No More, The Ghost Walker, and Muscogee Red Dawn have made the Bestseller Publishers list in 2016. Saddle Up has once again garnered the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for historical fiction. Two more books in the Train From Tombstone series have been added. Fortress of Corruption, and Field Of Bones. Barden wrote a new series in 2018, called The Cherokee Kid series. The first novel is called Treasure Of Deadman's Pass. The second is called The Trouble Magnet. Barden just released his first science fiction novel in January of 2020, called Ganymede Rising. His fourteenth novel to date.
