Kaylene Canfield

Kaylene was fortunate to have grandparents and great aunts and uncles to spark an interest in genealogy with the stories they shared.

Having attended local and national family history events, traveled on genealogy cruises and to areas where ancestors had lived, worked as Family History Consultants the News Clippings books started as Christmas presents for family and friends. Before long there were requests for additional books and to attend local events as a vendor.

The news clippings add to the knowledge of where your ancestors lived, but have proven a great asset to other authors researching a time period in a specific locale.

News Clippings From New Harmony, Utah: 1898 - 1923

Paula Hirschi Arriola I have all the books that pertain to my families. I love them. I have them in my coffee table and my adult nieces and nephews love to read them. They get a kick out of the Washington County News paper. Sure wish we still had that news paper!

I love this book and have purchased it for several friends. I do wish that the pages were numbered and that the book had an index. But, even without those two things, the book is a treasure to me. My father's ancestors were among early settlers of New Harmony. I hope there will be another book of New Harmony news clippings; starting where this book leaves off.

What fun to read the stories and see your family names and what they were doing. The stories of the politics, church programs, dances and working together are great!
