Brian W. Dowsley

Brian Dowsley is a man of many passions. He is a life-long motorcycle enthusiast, a member of the Iron Butt Association, and has toured the United States extensively. A gifted writer, he has shared his many riding adventures in the eleven-volume autobiography, Ten Years in the Saddle: A Biker’s Odyssey and the tie-in collection of short stories: Tales from the Saddle. Blessed with a vivid imagination, Brian has thrilled readers with his outer space adventure series: Galactic Pathfinder. He is a photographer of note and author of the photo collection: Four Seasons at the Arboretum. He is a gourmet cook and has three published cookbooks: The Biker Gourmet’s Chuck Wagon in a Saddlebag Cookbook, The Biker Gourmet’s Seafood in a Saddlebag Cookbook, and The Biker Gourmet Cooks at Home! Brian is an accomplished, multi-talented musician and enjoys playing electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, clarinet, saxophone, banjo, drums, and harmonica. A 1977 Naval Academy graduate, he served thirty-four distinguished years in the U.S. Navy, retiring with the rank of captain. Brian and his wife Judy are residents of Commerce, Texas.
