Ruby L. Agnir

Refining her many special gifts and then dedicating them to God, the Giver, Ruby L. Agnir’s accomplishments by age 70 include:

Retired college instructor of speech, theater arts, and music education courses;

Minister/Director of Music of mainline churches;

Member, American Guild of Organists;

Member, American Choral Directors Association;

Church Organist (regular and supply) here and abroad;

Soprano Soloist for churches, fraternal organizations, and community choruses;

Instructor, voice, organ and piano; Composer, vocal and keyboard music;

Founder and Artistic Director of Green Room Players, a community theater company – whose proceeds donated to non-profit organizations, totaling around $50,000, which includes $9,000 to ALS research;

Retired and residing in Wesley Chapel, Florida, Ruby continues to use her talents in her church, community, and fraternal organizations. She is currently the director of the Celebration and Christmas Choirs of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wesley Chapel. In addition, she is the editor of the newsletter of said church.

She is author of 4 books: (1) Prisms – a collection of her original poetry; (2) Fairy Gifts (Tales of Enchantment) – a set of original plays written for Youth Theater which can be performed by either all children, adults and children, or adults for an audience of children; can also be read as bedtime stories; (3) In our Music, God – a collection of essays aimed at inspiring those with God-given talents – not just musical – to use them in their houses of worship; these talents include creative writing, speeches, handicrafts, financial savvy, discernment and empathizing or sympathizing with those who need to avail themselves of such talents; (4) upward beyond the brim – a collection of essays of both spiritual and non-spiritual nature; more original poetry; and sermons for children’s time.

A life member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) and American Mensa, she is also a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America (LOSNA).
